Collect Homework

If enabled by your PlusPortals administrator, you can collect homework for a specific class or for all your classes.

Collect Homework for a Specific Class

To collect homework for a specific class, follow these steps:

  1. On the Home page, click the class you want to collect homework for.

  2. On the Section menu, click the Turn-ins tab.

    For more information, see Section Menu. If you don't see the Turn-ins tab, your PlusPortals administrator has disabled access to the feature.

  3. In the Homework drop-down list, click the homework you want to collect.

    All current student submissions appear in the list below the Homework drop-down list.

    If a student's submission doesn't appear, the student has not submitted the homework via E-Locker in their student portal.

    You can filter results by clicking the Filter icon, change the order of items displayed in a column by clicking the column heading, or customize the number of documents displayed on the page by clicking an option in the Documents per page drop-down list. Use the arrows to navigate between pages.

  4. In the Details column, click the link under Attachments to view the student's homework.

    If the student completed the homework in the student portal text editor, clicking the attachment link opens the homework in a new web page. If the student attached a Microsoft Word file or similar type of attachment, clicking the link downloads the file to your computer.

  5. To comment on the homework, click Homework Comment Icon, type the comment, and then click Save. The student can view the comment from their student portal.

Collect Homework for Multiple Classes

To collect homework for any or all of your classes, follow these steps:

  1. On the Master menu, click the E-Locker tab.

  2. Click the Homework Hand-in tab.
  3. If you don't see the E-Locker tab or Homework Hand-in tab, your PlusPortals administrator has disabled access to these features.

  4. In the Class drop-down list, click the class associated with the homework or click All Classes to view homework for all your classes.
  5. In the Homework drop-down list, click the homework you want to collect.

    You can filter results by clicking the Filter icon, or customize the number of items displayed on the page by clicking an option in the Documents per page drop-down list. Use the arrows to navigate between pages.

  6. In the Details column, click the Attachments link to view a student's homework.
  7. To comment on the homework, click the Homework Comment Icon, type your comments, and click Save. The student can view your comments from the student portal.
