Copy a File to a Class

When adding a file to your Class page, you can save time by copying a file from a class the previous year or from a class in the current year. You can then make any necessary changes for the new class. You can also add a file to a class by copying a file from another section of the same class.

Copy a File from the Previous Year or from Another Class in the Current Year

To copy a file from a class in the previous year or another class in the current year, follow these steps:

  1. On the Home page, click the class you want to copy the file to.

  2. On the Overview tab, scroll down to the Files panel, and click Add from Library.

    On the Section menu, click the Resources tab. On the Files panel, click the Add drop-down list, and then click From Library.

    For more information, see Section Menu. If you don't see the Resources tab, your PlusPortals administrator has disabled the feature.

  3. Click Add from a previous year's class or Add from another class this year.
  4. In the Select drop-down list, click the class that contains the file you want to copy.

    The files associated with the class appear in the list below the Select drop-down list.

    You can filter results by clicking the Filter icon, change the order of items displayed in a column by clicking the column heading, or customize the number of items displayed on the page by clicking an option in the Files per page drop-down list. Use the arrows to navigate between pages.

  5. Select the check box next to the file you want to copy.
  6. Under Select the current section to copy, select the check box for the class you want to copy the file to, and then click Next.
  7. When prompted to confirm that you want to copy the selected file, click Yes.

Copy a File to Another Section of the Same Class

To copy a file from another section of the same class, follow these steps:

  1. On the Home page, click the class that contains the file you want to copy.
  2. Class

  3. On the Overview tab, scroll down to the Files panel.

    On the Section menu, click the Resources tab.

    For more information, see Section Menu. If you don't see the Resources tab, your PlusPortals administrator has disabled the feature.

  5. In the Files panel drop-down list, click the folder that contains the file you want to copy.
  6. Click the Copy iconnext to the file.

  7. Under Copy to the Following Sections, select the check box for the class you want to copy the file to and click Copy.
